2024 Jeep Recon EV Preview

2024 Jeep Recon Pre Production Model Image

Jeep fans in Macon and Perry know that Jeep moved into the electric realm a few years ago with the introduction of the plug-in hybrid electric Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee models of the Jeep 4xe lineup. What’s next? Jeep storms into the all-electric automotive world with the introduction of the 2024 Jeep Recon EV. Find out what you can expect from this extraordinary off-road-ready Wrangler-inspired SUV when it arrives at Warner Robins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT

What We Know So Far About the 2024 Jeep Recon EV

Stellantis, Jeep’s parent company, has been tight-lipped about details on the Jeep Recon as of press time, but we’re thrilled to share what we know. The Jeep Recon follows the tracks of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which is the best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle in America. Unlike the 4xe, the Jeep Recon won’t include a gasoline-powered engine, which will make it the first all-electric Jeep. We don’t know the Jeep Recon price yet, but we know what it looks like and have some information on how much power it will offer.

2024 Jeep Recon Styling

While the Jeep Recon design was inspired by the Wrangler, Bonaire drivers won’t mistake these SUVs for one another even though the Recon will sport the iconic Jeep grille. The Recon, classified as a midsize SUV, has a much smoother, sculpted body style. It shares the sporty removable doors and colorful tow hooks like the Wrangler. It even has a removable roof, but with an easy and convenient one-touch button.

2024 Jeep Recon Performance

The Jeep Recon will look fantastic on Warner Robins streets, but it’s truly at home on the trail with features that will include:

  • Electric axle locking
  • Selec-Terrain drive modes
  • Underbody protection
  • Off-road tires
  • Off-road trail guides through the Uconnect infotainment system
  • Rubber flooring

We don’t have performance specs, but industry predictions suggest that the Jeep Recon engine could top 600 hp. Its battery range is likely to go beyond 300 miles between charges.

Unlike the Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Recon EV is built on the new STLA Large EV platform, while the Wrangler is sticking with the traditional body-on-frame build. The Jeep Recon is being built in the United States, which will likely make it eligible for federal tax incentives. Our finance department will receive that information closer to the Jeep’s release.
